Okay. I’m a bit proud that in my hometown Mainz, where I was born and grew up, such an important company is based. Biontech developed the world’s first vaccine against the new corona Virus SARS-CoV-2. In the interview, Dr. Uğur Şahin, the company’s founder and CEO, talks about the production and distribution of the vaccine, as it has been approved for release in the EU, and as a new mutation of the virus has surfaced.
Of course I contributed nothing to the development of the vaccine. Neither did I decide to be born and raised in Mainz.
So I guess, there’s no real reason to be proud of anything. Still: A boy from Mainz interviewing another Mainzer. Feels nice 😉
